Mosaicos
Desde mi infancia cautivó mi mirada la sorprendente belleza de los mosaicos.
Me gustan los mosaicos, me alegran, me maravillan, me ilustran, me provocan placer. Los mosaicos son prácticos, lujosos y funcionales… Quizás lo que más me seduce de los mosaicos es que son la manifestación misma de la ambigüedad. Son la continuidad en lo discontinuo; son el detalle y el conjunto; son la totalidad y el pedazo; son el recorte, el fragmento, el límite y los intersticios, la grieta, la abertura, el vacío.
Mosaics
Since my childhood, my eyes have been captivated by the surprising beauty of mosaics.
I like mosaics, they make me happy, they amaze me, they illustrate me, they give me pleasure. Mosaics are practical, luxurious and functional. But perhaps what seduces me most about mosaics is that they are the very manifestation of ambiguity. They are the continuity in the discontinuous; they are the detail and the whole; they are the whole and the piece; they are the cutout, the fragment, the limit and the interstices, the crack, the opening, the void.
